Inventor of new forms of mobility

VINCI Park’s strategic goals are to create harmony between town and car, to help cars – when they are absolutely essential – find their rightful place in city centres, and to provide alternatives to using a car. With these goals in mind, the company is attacking on three major fronts: parking facilities for two-wheeled vehicles, car-sharing and multi-modal transport.

The urban bicycle – long before anyone else!
Since its creation in 2001, VINCI Park’s network has loaned bicycles to customers for the duration of their stay in a parking facility. The growing popularity of bicycles, scooters and motorbikes calls for new parking services in cities. By 2009, we will have 8,000 motorbike parking spaces and 5,000 bicycle parking spaces for the public.

Multi-modality in the city
Many working people use park-and-ride facilities on the outskirts of a city, enabling them to access public transport networks. Journey time, distance and travel costs encourage this combination of transport methods. VINCI Park is now giving municipalities the opportunity to advertise their park-and-ride facilities and their virtuous transport policy in its city centre car parks. All our customers can thus take better advantage of transport systems located near our car parks and rediscover a more accessible, traffic-free city centre.
